Wedding Table Decor
This post brings together ideas for wedding table decor, ordered by colour: terracotta with blue porcelain or green toile, peach and blue under crystal chandeliers, red and pink with cherries, yellow roses on white lace, white flowers with greenery, and blue hydrangeas above round tables. The tables were designed in palaces in Austria, at a chateau in Provence and at a villa in Tuscany.

Terracotta and Blue Wedding Table Decor
A Very Beloved Wedding designed an oval dinner table for the gilded hall of the Stadtpalais Liechtenstein, beneath a gilded chandelier. The table was covered with a blue and white toile cloth, gathered in ruffles down to the parquet floor, and orange velvet chairs were placed around it.

The flowers by Hana Holdener were arranged in blue and white porcelain vases, with apricot anthuriums, roses, callas, orchids and chrysanthemums. Low clusters of blue hydrangea were placed on the cloth between the vases, next to gold table lamps.

A cream linen napkin was folded over each plate, and a round menu card in apricot by Carissimo Letterpress was placed on top, sealed with blue wax and finished with a single orchid.

Blue and white can come from the vases alone, or you can repeat it in the tablecloth and keep the flowers in terracotta.
Terracotta and Green Wedding Table Decor
For Marisa and Ryan's wedding at Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg, A Very Beloved Wedding designed the dinner as one U-shaped table beneath the crystal chandelier of the Marble Hall. Green and white toile linen was chosen for the table, and coral velvet chairs were placed along its outer side.

Inside the U, flowers in orange and white were arranged with greenery on the checkered marble floor. On the table, Hana Holdener combined white hydrangeas with orange celosia and other orange blooms, and orange taper candles were placed along its whole length.

Plates with a coral floral pattern were chosen for the place settings, with low arrangements of orange gerberas and pale pink roses between them on the toile.

In a hall with room inside the table, you can bring part of the flowers down to the floor.
Peach and Blue Wedding Table Decor
For Linda and Yves's wedding at Villa Grabau in Tuscany, round tables were placed on the gravel, with pale cloths and wooden cross-back chairs, and crystal chandeliers were hung above them.

Silvia Mattera designed the centrepieces in peach, coral and pale yellow, with garden roses, carnations and snapdragons, blue hydrangeas and halved papayas and peaches between the flowers. Light blue taper candles were placed in the middle of the tables.

Plates with a painted floral pattern were combined with gold-rimmed crystal glasses and gold cutlery. A pale yellow satin napkin was tied over each plate, beside a menu card printed in blue.

Outdoors, you can bring crystal chandeliers to the tables as well.
Red and Pink Wedding Table Decor
One long table was designed for a white stucco hall at Schloss Hof in Lower Austria, with arched windows and a marble fireplace. It was covered with a dusky pink cloth, and low round poufs were chosen instead of chairs.

Hana Holdener designed the flowers as a runner along the whole table: red gerberas, carnations, callas and pale pink pompon chrysanthemums. Orange taper candles were placed among the flowers, and cherries were scattered over the cloth.

The place settings were put together from white scalloped plates, silver cutlery and swirled pink glasses. Menu cards by Carissimo Letterpress, with a painted floral border and a pink satin bow, were placed on the plates.

A tower of pink champagne coupes was built on a smaller table in a wall niche, with cherries and strawberries around it.

A red from the flowers can be repeated in your glasses and candles.
Yellow and White Wedding Table Decor
A white lace cloth, sage green linen napkins and transparent chairs were chosen for one long table in a hall of the Belvedere with statue niches and red marble pilasters.

Hana Holdener arranged peach and yellow garden roses with white lilies along the table, and sprays of small yellow orchids on tall stems were added above them. White taper candles were placed between the flowers, with amber wine glasses and gold cutlery at each place.

The menu cards by Carissimo Letterpress had a painted border of yellow flowers and were tied with a cream ribbon over the sage napkin.

With yellow and white, you can give the table height with orchid stems and keep the roses low around them.
White and Green Wedding Table Decor
For a dinner outdoors at Chateau Martinay in Provence, one long table was placed on the gravel in front of the chateau, with a pale cloth and cane-back chairs on both sides.

Botanica Event designed a runner of greenery down the centre of the table, with white roses, callas and Queen Anne's lace, and larger arrangements of the same flowers were placed on the ground at the ends of the table. White candles in silver candlesticks were placed between crystal glasses.

Blue and white porcelain plates were chosen for the place settings, with silver cutlery and a cream satin napkin tied in a bow on each plate.

Years from now, when the two of you sit down with your own photographs, a long table under the open sky can be among the pictures you return to first.
Blue and White Wedding Table Decor
Round tables were chosen for a wedding at Schloss Laxenburg, in a hall with crystal chandeliers and a painted ceiling, with white cloths and gilt chairs with blue seat cushions around them.

Ilviras Blumen arranged white and peach roses, blue hydrangeas and blue delphinium with greenery in tall glass vases, one above each table.

Blue and white was also the palette for Caroline and Andrew's wedding at the Gartenpalais Liechtenstein. Round tables were covered in blue and white toile, and tall crystal candelabra with white candles were set on the tables in front of the marble columns. Small white bowls with spoons were arranged among white hydrangeas and eucalyptus.

On round tables, you can lift the flowers onto tall glass vases or place crystal candelabra between them. More ideas for flowers, stationery and cakes are collected in Palace Wedding Decor.
Common Questions
What belongs to wedding table decor?
Wedding table decor covers the tablecloth, the chairs, the flowers and their vases, candles or lamps, and the place setting with plates, cutlery, glasses, napkins and a menu card.
Should wedding table flowers be low or tall?
Both are used. The long tables at Schloss Hof, Schloss Leopoldskron and Chateau Martinay had low runners of flowers along their whole length. The round tables at Schloss Laxenburg had tall arrangements on glass vases above them. At the Belvedere, tall orchid stems were combined with low roses on one long table.
Which colours work for wedding table decor?
One or two main colours with white or a neutral are usual. The palettes on this page are terracotta with blue, terracotta with green, peach with blue, red with pink, yellow with white, white with green, and blue with white.
What is a wedding tablescape?
A tablescape is the complete design of a table, from the cloth and the chairs to the flowers, candles and place settings, planned as one picture. At a wedding it usually covers the dinner table, and sometimes a separate table for the cake or a champagne tower, as at Schloss Hof.
